Kingdom Hearts 3 Likely to Feature A Cameo by Characters from Marvel and the Star Wars Universe!

Ever since Electronic Entertainment Expo, 2013, the hype surrounding Kingdom Hearts 3 has died down a bit, but it has not disappeared altogether. There was a lot of buzz post the announcement that the third instalment for Kingdom Hearts will be released in 2015.

There was news from Square Enix that game director Tetsuya Nomura was asked to stop working on Final Fantasy XV to focus on Kingdom Hearts 3. He has decided to go beyond the limitations and restrictions to create Kingdom Hearts 3 that will live up to the expectations of the fans. Nomura is integrating diverse characters in the third instalment.

If rumours are to be believed, this instalment might have an integrated universe with Marvel and Star Wars coming together with characters for Kingdom Hearts. The sassy billionaire, Iron Man is believed to make a cameo in the game. He will try to convince the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts 3, Sora to fight Darth Vader.

Kingdom Hearts 3 starts off from where Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance ended. In the third instalment, Sora will take on a mission to end the evil plans of Master Xehanort. Master Xehanort is making a plan to open Kingdom Hearts with a replica of an x-blade. In the game, the players aim to protect the hearts of Xion, Terra, Ventus, Roxas and Aqua.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will have two new developments. Nomura has confirmed that the characters of Sora and Riku will get a make-over. Fans can also expect the same for Kairi and the other characters. Square Enix has also announced that their team will not use their in-house platform for developing the game, which will be replaced with the Unreal Engine 4.

The plot, as revealed by Square Enix, will have Sora, Donald, and Goofy start on a search to find the Key to Return Hearts and the seven guardians of light while Riku and Mickey will be looking for the Keyblade wielders. The characters fight it out with Master Xehanort while the showdown is between Xehanort and Sora.

Another interesting piece of information has been doing the rounds, which has got fans of the Kingdom Hearts series pretty excited. It is believed that for the first time in Kingdom Hearts 3, the key blade, which is the primary weapon, will be able to transform into guns and other weapons.

  1. For nostalgia I wish they wouldn’t put marvel and Star Wars in, but for a totally new story reboot I hope this is true. I’m going to stay open minded and go buy a PS4. I hope more FF characters are involved too.
