The game also features “Dream Eaters” which are characters who are somewhere between good and evil. Friendly Dream Eaters can be trained to be more powerful. Editions in English were released on July 20, 2012 in Europe, and July 31 in North America.
The plot involves the characters of Sora, Riku and Kairi whose land was invaded by the Heartless. The three become separated and Sora comes to the possession of the Keyblade that gives him the power to fight against the Heartless.
He arrives in Traverse Town, where he meets Goofy and Donald, who were sent to find the carrier of the Keyblade by their king Mickey. The three characters go through many adventures in order to prevent the invasions of the Heartless, and to find Cairi and Riku. The Heartless are led by Maleficent who uses the Heartless in order to capture the seven Princesses of Heart. By using their powers, Maleficent open doors to Kingdom Hearts and take over their worlds.
Other additions to the game involve more storylines and developments as the main characters embark on adventures, but the main theme line is practically the same throughout the sequels.
Square Enix reveals that “Kingdom Hearts 3” is still in the process of development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and it promises to be more exciting than the previous installments of the franchise.
