It happens quite a lot in the gaming industry – whenever a sequel to a major franchise is coming up, this usually means that gamers will have to wait a lot until they get it, and that the sequel might also come with some drastic changes to the formula.
But in many cases, those changes are necessary in order to move things forward and ensure that the franchise survives for a long time, as otherwise the developers risk letting it go stale.
This doesn’t seem to be the case with “Kingdom Hearts 3” by any means though, as the game is obviously being developed with a lot of care and attention, and the last thing Square Enix want to do right now is disappoint their fans.
The studio knows a lot about what their fans want to see and do in the new game, and they are going to do their best to deliver on that front. As we said above, we might see some changes in the game, but those will be carefully thought through in order to ensure that it will match the expectations of fans as best as possible and won’t disappoint long-time fans.
