But that’s probably also part of the reason why the developers have been taking their time with its release. With a title so important, it’s obvious that they would want to polish it as much as possible and ensure that it will live up to the standards of the community.
This is especially true when one considers the culture that surrounds the development of the game. While many other studios would gladly rush a release and fix the smaller issues with a few patches afterwards, this would never happen with a title like “Kingdom Hearts” which is developed with a lot of attention specifically to polish.
2.8 is coming out in 2016, according to reports, and it looks like the year is going to be very interesting for fans of the franchise in general, as there will be plenty of new content for them to explore all over the franchise.
It’s good to see that the developers haven’t forgotten about the famous franchise after so much time, as some people were already starting to poke fun at it and have been comparing it to classic vaporware games that never made it to their final release. Hopefully they also have something else planned for after this installment, as there is still a lot of potential to be explored in “Kingdom Hearts”, especially judging by the way the community is talking about the game.
