While this may sound really absurd to most fans and gamers, but the gameplay of “Kingdom Hearts 2” may have actually hinted the release date for “Kingdom Hearts 3.”
Game developer Square Enix has yet to make an announcement or a statement regarding the release date of the highly-anticipated crossover action role-playing video game “Kingdom Hearts 3” on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One so speculations have been keeping fans and gamers quite preoccupied.
The latest word as of the first week of May is that Square Enix will be launching “Kingdom Hearts 3” at the Japan version of the D23 Expo to be held on November 6 to 8 at Tokyo Disney Resort.
Apparently, Square Enix is not just planning to launch the gameplay trailer of “Kingdom Hearts 3” during the event but shall also divulge other details of the upcoming video game including its likely mobile version.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura also confirmed that “Kingdom Hearts 3” will make an appearance in the Japan D23 Expo to be held in November.
The hint from the predecessor video game
A theory was actually presented by an astute gamer who posted it on YouTube under user name Cynnical. The video clip showed Seifer Almasy, who is the young cersion in Twilight Town, who was hesitantly forging an alliance with “Kingdom Hearts 2” protagonist Sora but agrees nonetheless to offer a Struggle Trophy to the game hero if the Nobodies chasing his gang would be beaten, details Venture Capital Post.
In their conversation, Seifer was telling Sora about his concerns on the latter’s power. Sora assured him that he will return in 10 years time, which Cynnical believes is the supposed release date for “Kingdom Hearts 3.”
It can be recalled that “Kingdom Hearts 2” was officially released on December 22, 2005 in Japan and March 28, 2006 in North America.
Given the timeline, it is likely therefore that “Kingdom Hearts 3” will officially roll out to the gaming consoles either in December this year or March next year, the astute gamer deduced.
If Square Enix sticks to its plan of a November launching in Japan for “Kingdom Hearts 3,” then a December roll out of the video game in the same country is possible. And so is a March 2016 roll out in the US and other countries.
Mobile version of the video game
Meanwhile, smartphone and tablet users shall be able to get a mobile version of the video game officially titled “Kingdom Hearts Unchained X” when it is launched within the year. The “X’ on the title of the mobile video game is read as ‘key.’
“Kingdom Hearts” franchise game director Tetsuya Nomura is positive that the mobile video game would really appeal to Western groups. He disclosed that it was clear from the start during the development of the mobile video game that it was meant for overseas so they have adjusted it accordingly.
