Dr. Paul Crane, Kim’s OB-GYNE, said that she might have the same type of problem that could be more serious during her third pregnancy. The doctor went on to say that Kim is always taking a little bit of chance and that there is a possibility that retained placenta could be a matter of life or death for her.
The doctor explained that a retained placenta means that the placenta is not delivered from the woman’s body within one hour after her baby is born. The placenta is the organ that nourishes the fetus in the womb of a pregnant mother.
