The platinum blonde do was good for only two weeks on the head of Kim Kardashian as the reality star has gone back to being a brunette again.
The reality star first showcased her hair dyed platinum blonde during the Paris Fashion Week opening on March 6, which was widely criticized by a lot of people, particularly in social media.
Some of the comments to her platinum blonde mane said that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashian” star really looked like she belongs to the family of Malfoys, the antagonists in the “Harry Potter” movie series. Others believe that she looks like a character from the Japanese anime.
It was actually Kim Kardashian who showed that she just went back to being a brunette again when she posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account where she was already sporting a her usual but surprisingly longer brown hair.
Just a wig
It turns out that the brunette hair was not a real one but only a wig worn over Kim’s still platinum blonde do.
She also made it clear on the caption of her posted image and described that the photo was taken in the set of the amazing @ ellenvonunwerth and that she was wearing a brown wig. Kim also expressed that she can hardly wait for her fans to see the projects that she and the production people have been working on.
A source close to the reality star also disclosed that the new look of Kim Kardashian has something to do with a commercial campaign.
The validation that Kim Kardashian ‘switched back’ to being a brunette came from Mario Dedivanovic, who is the reality star’s close friend and makeup artist, through a post in his Twitter account.
The post included a photo of Kim walking to a film set with her back before the camera. She was already sporting a dark brown hair and was already flowing in her back side. That was quite surprising since aside from dying her hair platinum blonde, the reality star also cut her hair up to shoulder-length only.
Fun break
It looks like Kim will be staying as a blonde for now because that was what her husband Kanye West wanted her to look.
Although there is no guarantee as to how long the reality star intends to switch back to her original brunette hair color. But judging from the criticisms she has obtained for coming out with a blonde do, it is likely that Kim Kardashian will revert back to her original hair color sooner than later.
In an interview with People magazine, Kim said that her dying platinum blonde was a last-minute decision on her part. Instead of telling that it was due to the insistence of her husband, the reality star said that she takes the new color on because she loves taking risk. She said that it was a fun look for a fun break for now.
