Kim Kardashian wanted to pay her last respect via social media to the 57-year-old iconic music artist Prince who passed away a few days ago but she seems to have picked the wrong photo to do it.
The 36-year-old reality star posted a picture of herself and Prince on stage during the music artist’s performance at a concert in Madison Square Garden in New York City back in 2011. She captioned the post that she will always remember the moment with one of her favorite artists. Kardashian claimed that she was so star struck with Prince that she froze on stage. She ended her post with ‘RIP Prince.’
It was actually the moment when she joined the musician on stage during the middle of his performance. Kim went up the stage back then in a pair of huge stilettos and a skin-tight dress but she refused to dance when Prince told her to, details the Mirror of UK.
Prince was not impressed with the situation so he booted her off to cheers from the crowd.
Embarrassed herself big time
But her post drew flak from people who have seen or were at the concert of Prince in New York City back in 2011. One commenter wrote that Kim Kardashian got on stage to embarrass herself and she got kicked off.
Another one said that he does not hate Kim at all and really understand how star struck she was with Prince then. But the reality is that she was kicked off the stage by the great music artist because she was boring.
One other commenter said that Kim Kardashian was so embarrassed that she had to glorify the awkward moment to make herself feel better. He added that Prince told her to get off the stage because when the music artist tells people to dance, they should dance.
Another commenter said that Kim was clueless, citing further that the reality star was trying to own the moment which was so lame and so fake.
The video of the moment showed Prince wowing the crowds with his amazing vocals and dance moves, all the while appearing rather uninterested in Kim who was just standing there.
Prince then escorted her off the stage and just said “Welcome to America,” which is actually an indirect swipe at her since she and her family is from Armenia.
But Kim tried to redeem herself when she posted another tweet by saying that she went up the stage again during the same concert. They all played the piano while Prince danced and she ended by saying that what a night it was.
Burying the hatchet
Incidentally, Kim Kardashian has just done a good thing for her youngest sister Kylie Jenner and soon-to-be sister-in-law Blac Chyna when she brokered the smoking of peace pipe between Kylie and Chyna recently.
The two ladies have been at odds in the past because of Tyga, the boyfriend of Kylie. The rapper happens to be the ex-fiance of Blac Chyna and Blac Chyna is now the girlfriend of Rob Kardashian, the brother of Kylie and Kim, notes E! Online.
In a meeting set up by Kim, Kylie and Chyna decided to bury the hatchet and move on from the drama. The two eventually realized that they have so much in common that they are now bound to keep hanging out and be closer than ever as friends and sisters-in-law in the future.
Chyna is also positive that Kylie and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan will see her as a good fit for Rob because she really cares about him. In fact, reports have it that Chyna and Rob are already engaged to be married and she is already very excited to be a Kardashian in the near future.
