The divorce between Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom has not been finalized after Khloe did not pursue the case when she was given an ultimatum by the court a few months ago to show proof that she really wants the marriage done and over with.
Last year, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reality TV star also dated rapper French Montana but that did not force her ex-husband and former NBA star Lamar Odom into coming out and attempting to win her back.
The relationship with French Montana was short-lived and as eventually noted in several episodes of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Khloe appears to be still in love with her former husband. Unfortunately for her, Lamar has been taking all her hints and insinuations for granted.
But it seems that the tables have been turned this time after the 31-year-old Khloe went into a relationship with the more popular NBA superstar 25-year-old James Harden of the Houston Rockets.
Reports have it that Lamar Odom has issues of Khloe dating James Harden that he finally showed up one time to confront his ex-wife about it. But the confrontation was not good, or so Khloe said.
Freaked out
Khloe said that she freaked out during her early morning encounter with Lamar Odom on August 12 after she had her dancing class in SoulCycle in Beverly Hills, notes the Daily Mail.
Lamar apparently went on a verbal assault against his ex-wife that left Khloe shocked and scared. Khloe was actually surprised how her ex-husband found her and how he knew she was there.
According to eyewitness accounts, Lamar approached Khloe that morning and she attempted to ignore him. So he grabbed her arm which prompted Khloe to scream that he gets off her and also yelling ‘Stop.’
One bystander apparently asked Khloe if she wanted the cops to be called. And Lamar allegedly screamed to the bystander that nobody is going to call the cops on Lamar Odom. He let her go eventually and Khloe was visibly upset and freaked out, and ran for her car and drove away.
Reports have it that Lamar has been trying to contact her, but she is obviously done with him and has started ignoring him.
Upon learning of the incident with her sister, Kim Kardashian suggested that Khloe hire a bodyguard to protect herself from such chance encounter with her ex-husband and it seems like Khloe is heeding the recommendation. They are said to be looking into hiring the services of a private security firm
Kim apparently told Khloe that Lamar’s behavior was inappropriate and she needs to nip it in the bud before it escalates. Kim also adds that there is no reasoning with Lamar at the moment so it is always better to be safe than sorry.
Putting it behind her with James
However, two days after the incident, it appears that Khloe has gotten over that little encounter with Lamar as she was seen partying in Houston on August 14 for the 25th birthday celebration of her rumored boyfriend James Harden.
James and Khloe were at the Aristocratlifes Engineroom during the celebration and they were very close and cozy during the entire event, dancing together for several hours, details TMZ.
Harden marked his birthday with several fellow NBA players including Zach Randolph of the Memphis Grizzlies and teammate Pat Beverley. He was also being congratulated for the $200 million deal he just signed with Adidas, making his birthday celebration extra special.
Astute observers say that Khloe went into a relationship from one NBA player to another NBA player, or better yet, from an NBA star to an NBA superstar, not counting her fling of course with French Montana.
Since late in June, Khloe has reportedly been dating James Harden, known for his prodigious beard, and also dubbed as ‘The Barber’ in the NBA. He was also an MVP contender during the just-concluded NBA season but lost to Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.
