Khloe Kardashian marked the anniversary of her filing for divorce with husband Lamar Odom on December 13th.
While Lamar has refused to sign the divorce papers to get the process moving for the past year, Khloe also did not do anything even after receipt of notice from the court and thus the case could be dismissed within 45 days, reports Radar Online.
It seems likely that Khloe still wants to get back together with Lamar, whom she decided to divorce last year on account of cheating allegations.
Most of the things she has done these past few weeks hinted that she is still in love with Lamar. After breaking up with rapper French Montana early in December, she was quoted as stating in an episode of “Khloe and Kourtney Take the Hamptons” that if she had her way, she would still be married to Lamar.
On Christmas Day, she posted on her Instagram account that she would never let go of the memories, in reference obviously to the times spent together with Lamar.
Khloe was also spotted in an NBA game this month signing an autograph for a fan using her married name Khloe Kardashian – Odom.
Lawyer still wants the divorce?
While Khloe seems almost certain that she also does not want the divorce to prosper, her lawyer Laura Wasser continues to advise her to follow the process to the letter.
Even without the signature or response from Lamar, Khloe is well within her legal rights to move forward with the divorce without him, the source said.
Hollywood Life reported that Wasser wanted Khloe to enter a default judgment of divorce which would render her single again. But the reality star refuses to heed her lawyer’s advice.
A source close to Khloe says that despite the heartaches caused by Lamar during their short-lived marriage, she is still hesitant to pull the trigger on their divorce as much as the NBA star refuses to sign the papers.
Khloe has less than 45 days within which to conquer her hesitation otherwise she will continue to remain as Mrs. Lamar Odom and they will still remain married.
However, she can refile for divorce should the case be dismissed and the process will start all over again.
Changing tunes?
But in the latest report of TMZ on the issue, it seems that Khloe is not about to abort her decision to divorce Lamar.
According to the report, despite countless attempts on Khloe’s part, the reality star simply can’t schedule a meeting with Lamar so that both their lawyers could finalize the terms of the divorce.
Lamar seems to be very scarce in public these days other than his NBA schedules. Sources said the NBA star is simply content leaving the divorce process hanging.
According to TMZ, Khloe would file a default judgment if Lamar doesn’t respond soon. But then again, she has less than 45 days to do so, otherwise, the court would be dismissing the case.
