In the catwalk, BFFs Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid may be neck and neck as supermodels but in terms of dramatic reading Justin Bieber’s hit song “Baby,” it appears that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reality star has the clear edge over her best pal.
The two supermodels were recently asked to recite the Biebs’ breakthrough hit “Baby” in a video for W magazine’s lyrical improvement series with Lynn Hirschberg.
As it turned out, Kendall Jenner seemed to have gotten it right with her serious and somber delivery and looks theatrical as it could get. Gigi Hadid, on the other hand, looks like she was auditioning for “American Idol” as she belted the whole thing karaoke-style, details MTV.
Despite their contrasting approaches to the dramatic readings of “Baby,” critics are one in saying that the pair would surely have Justin Bieber quite proud of them, even if they no longer cover the kooky verse in the song delivered by rapper Ludacris.
Losing men in the family
Incidentally, Kendall is now complaining that their family is losing men after her dad Bruce transitioned to become Caitlyn.
She says that their family has always had a lot of women that includes her mother Kris, 60, Kourtney, 37, Kim, 36, Khloe, 32, Kylie, 19, and now Caitlyn, 66, details the Daily Mail of UK.
She said that the only male left is their 29-year-old brother Rob Kardashian, who does not get involved with the Kardashian-Jenner clan much too often, preferring to spend his time with his future wife Blac Chyna.
It is also the reason why Kendall is seen spending much time with the ex-partner of her sister Kourtney, Scott Disick. Kendall and her former brother-in-law are often seen dining at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills, California.
She said that while she was growing up, she was a tomboy and she was gravitating towards hanging out more with guys.
She has been romantically linked in the past with Harry Styles of One Direction, Jordan Clarkson of the Los Angeles Lakers, and has been seen with Gigi Hadid’s brother Anwar. She was also linked to A$AP Rocky during the recent summer.
Drawn to male energy
Kendall explained that because she has so many women in her family and not many men, she is drawn to male energy when choosing friends.
She said that half the time, she is the only girl in the room. But she clarified that she loves her girlfriends just the same. Her two BFFs are Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin.
Kendall also talked about cars in her website recalling that she got her first Range Rover for her 16th birthday in 2014 and she has been updating the wheels every few years.
She also said that she puts makeup and gum in her console and she also plays in full volume Rihanna’s “We All Want Love” when she is driving.
The last time that the Estee Lauder model was seen in public was at Kanye West’s concert at the Forum in Los Angeles on October 25 along with her sisters Kim and Kourtney and mom, Kris.
Kendall has recently spoken about bullying in the National Bully Prevention Month in October.
She has served as the cover star of the October issue of Garage Magazine where she also talked about how she deals with cyber bullies.
In the interview, she said that with the power of social media and the internet, receiving both good and bad comments on a certain post is almost automatic or spontaneous.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reality star said that everyone is going to have an opinion of whatever they see or read in social media and the best advice that she could give is not to be concerned so much with the negative things that are being said because it will just cause a headache later on.
She adds that what matters is how one feels about it or the image that he or she posted about himself or herself because if the person feels good about it, gaining positive perspectives will do the work already.
