In a break from her ongoing Prismatic World Tour, Katy Perry found time to go to Florence, Italy last week to join the designer house’s show of the Italian fashion brand Moschino as the pop singer was officially unveiled as its new image model.
The 30-year-old “Roar” singer attended Moschino’s 88 Pitti Uomo fashion event on June 18 at Florence wearing a black and white branded T-shirt dress in vivid black and white with Moschino written all over it. She also accessorized with a show-inspired handbag and a novelty earrings, describes the Daily Mail.
Completing her overall look are fishnet stockings to go with her pair of studded platform shoes. Katy noticeably had heavy make-up on while wearing a do patterned after Amy Winehouse.
She was also photographed getting into the swing of things in the event including downing a tall glass of red wine and seemed to be enjoying herself in the company of Moschino officials and other guests.
The Moschino event was actually meant to showcase the brand’s men collection but the singer did her best to show the male models in an outfit that raised the phrase ‘on-brand’ to a whole new level.
The “Firework” singer certainly knows how to take her appointment as the new ambassador of the Moschino brand seriously so she really dressed the part.
History of working together
Katy Perry was tapped as the new face of Moschino on the recommendation of the brand’s creative director Jeremy Scott.
Katy and Jeremy have a history of working together so their new partnership with Moschino was a natural choice. Even before she was named the image model of the brand, Katy has already worn some of the Moschino items from the previous campaigns before.
In April, she showcased the gold quilted brand and patchwork denim dungarees, which matched the jacket featured in the ad, during the Moschino party at the Coachella Music Festival. Katy however wore massive hoop earrings instead of gold chains.
Last month, the pop singer also showcased her cleavage on the Met Ball red carpet wearing a bold Moschino gown that featured graffiti print on its black fabric, completing her get-up with matching gloves and Moschino spray paint can for her handbag.
Needs high energy all the time
Given her busy schedule and her ongoing world concert tour, Katy needs all the energy she can get especially with her current Prismatic World Tour to promote her latest album titled “Prism.”
Since her widely-lauded halftime performance at Superbowl 2015 on February 1, the 30-year-old pop singer has been going on a tear with the subsequent European leg of her world tour.
The “Roar” singer has been full of energy every concert night so some people are beginning to ask how she is able to sustain the same energy levels all throughout her performances.
