Katy Perry is currently in the midst of her Prismatic World Tour to promote her latest album titled “Prism.”
Since her widely-lauded halftime performance at Superbowl 2015 on February 1, the 30-year-old pop singer has been going on a tear with the subsequent European leg of her world tour.
The “Roar” singer has been full of energy every concert night so some people are beginning to ask how she is able to sustain the same energy levels all throughout her performances.
In a recent interview with a British magazine, Katy Perry revealed that her secret to maintaining her high energy level all the time is her getting more than enough sleep regardless of the time of her performance.
Horrible snoozer
Katy Perry said that she is a nine-to-five girl but not in a Dolly Parton kind of way. She starts her day about noon and ends it at around 3 am the following morning.
But she always makes sure she gets a lot of sleep despite her conventional working hours to always have high energy levels in her performances.
The “Firework” singer admits that she sleeps a lot because that is where she gets all her strength and rejuvenations. As her operating or working hours are really strange, she press for snooze for about an hour when she wakes up, admitting also that she is a horrible snoozer.
She adds that she also do acupuncture occasionally or some kind of alignment followed by stretching and some physical work out. She wraps it up with her shower and the usual girly regimen after including her lotions and potions, notes MSN Entertainment.
Bored of healthy food
Katy also says that whenever she’s on the road, she always tries to eat only healthy food but she finds it boring, especially when she sees some of her crew enjoying her favorite food.
She recalls bringing a special kitchen staff with her to make food that does not have any dairy and very little gluten content on it. But eventually, she got tired of eating healthy food and has developed her craving for pizza, which is the favorite food of her crew.
Seeing that her crew eats pizza all the time, she even went the extra mile of bribing some of them by saying that if she is given a slice of pizza, she will give the one who shared her a slice an extra hour of sleep. It’s a fair deal for a fair swap indeed.
Katy says that her crew always have healthy snacks provided to her and sometimes she can no longer bear with it. She says that having a lot of kale, lot of dried fruits, and probiotics, already makes her taste too bland already.
