Being in the cover of a fashion magazine is nothing new to supermodel-turned-actress Kate Upton but it still adds up to her reputation as one of the world’s most popular cover girls.
She has added another one to her collection, highlighted of course by her stints as the cover of the very popular Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, as she graced the cover of the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar Australia.
In the accompanying interview, the 23-year-old Kate Upton describes herself as goofy, confident, and sassy. She also talks about dealing with negative comments and criticisms about her in public by just doing the best she can in what she does all the time. She adds that the bad things that people say about her only fuel her to succeed.
Kate points out that some people on social media can be rude and cruel, but she has reached the point where she has decided to feel sorry about them instead of being angry or annoyed. She said it’s not worth spending all the energy to hate people whom she has never even met.
In the Harper’s Bazaar Australia cover, Kate Upton once again does the pin-up look of Hollywood icon, Marilyn Monroe, while wearing a Stella McCartney trench coat and plenty of diamonds to boot.
Looking chic for a friendly visit
Meanwhile, Kate Upton was spotted on November 11 by several celebrity photographers while out to visit a friend’s home in Hollywood.
Although she was wearing a draped blouse and cropped tailored trousers, she still looked very chic in her ensemble.
Sporting a monochromatic tailored look, Kate Upton drew attention to her ample chest in a plunging white blouse featuring a flattering cross-over detailing, notes the Daily Mail.
The supermodel prevented herself from looking too formal for the friendly visit by adding a zipped leather jacket to her get-up. She also wore minimal make-up along with her rather over-sized shades. Best of all, she flashed a lot of smiles for photographers when she alighted from her vehicle.
A horse racing fanatic
Kate Upton is actually a horse racing fanatic. Apart from being a long-time equestrian, she is actually the Breeder’s Cup ambassador and was chosen as such for her love of the sport, notes Vogue.
Early this month, she went to the Keeneland race course in Lexington, Kentucky to witness history where American Pharoah beat Effinex at the Breeder’s Cup Classic by six and a half lengths.
Upton says that she was lucky enough to present the trophy to the first Grand Slam titlist in horseracing history and she really felt like it was a great honor.
American Pharoah previously won the Triple Crown, that includes the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and the Belmont Stakes races, before nailing his latest and final major win for the year.
The three-year-old bay colt will now retire from racing and set out on what is expected to be a lucrative career as a stud.
Meanwhile, Kate Upton and her boyfriend baseball pitcher Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers appear to be making up for lost time of not being together a few months back.
Over the past few weeks, the pair has been very visible especially in LA until they hit the streets of New York late last month wearing coordinating black clothes with matching leather jackets too.
Kate and Justin appear to have celebrated Halloween in the Big Apple and they really came out more as a stylish couple in black rather than looking very scary.
The 23-year-old supermodel-turned-actress and her 32-year-old beau were spotted on October 29 leaving their Soho hotel in leather and all-black ensembles.
“The Layover” star was apparently in New York to appear in “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” that night which they did after watching the New York Knicks losing game against the visiting Atlanta Hawks at the Madison Square Garden.
Upton covered her famous curves with her head-to-toe black look. She wore a pair of tight jeans with a high-necked silk blouse, topping it off with a classic black motorcycle jacket. She also sported an Aquazurra heels which elevated her casual look and completing her get-up with a Bottega Veneta handbag.
