Kate Upton Currently Filming Romantic Comedy ‘The Layover’ in Vancouver, Canada, More Details!

Supermodel Kate Upton is currently filming the romantic comedy “The Layover” in Vancouver, Canada with former “Glee” star Alexandra Daddario, Matt Barr, Matt Jones, and veteran actor William Macy.

The 22-year-old supermodel is lately known for being the advertising model for the mobile video game “Game of War: Fire Age,” which is the second most profitable game on the iPhone despite being a free play.

The game developer has reportedly spent $40 million for advertising “Game of War: Fire Age” but it is not clear how much of the entire budget was allotted to Kate Upton for being the game’s signature model.

Upton took a break from her supermodelling to shoot movie sequences for “The Layover” and she was spotted in the film by the Daily Mail on May 22 appearing to be losing the fight for the same man against co-star Alexandra Daddario.

Daddario just joined the cast early in May as a replacement for Lea Michele who was originally cast for the role.

Fighting over one man

“The Layover” is a romantic comedy about two young women, played by Kate and 29-year-old Alexandra, who went on a tropical vacation to get away from their respective troubles in life.

Their plans have gone haywire when a hurricane diverted their plane to Saint Louis instead. The two friends eventually ended up quarrelling over a man whom they both met on the flight. The man is played by 31-year-old actor Matt Bar.

When the Daily Mail caught up with the supermodel and some of her fellow stars during the filming of “The Layover,” Kate Upton had a cut on the left side of her nose, which was fake of course as it was only a make-up job by the movie’s excellent make-up crew. She later on acted the scene where she appears to be having a meltdown.

In the scene, she was scene waving her arms and looking very frustrated as her character’s car was towed. She was seen yelling, stomping her feet, and even chasing the tow truck down the street in her high heels.

When her character saw that her actions were becoming futile, she just sat on a sidestreet wall with a beer bottle wrapped in a paper bag and drinking occasionally while speaking on her mobile phone.

It was obvious from the film scenes that her character just had a terrible day and it appears that Kate Upton is acting quite nicely the frustrations of her character.

She was also joined in the film sequence by co-star Matt Jones who seems to commiserate with her sullen situation.

Getting married?

In January this year, Kate Upton had the entire social media to her attention when she posted an Instagram photo hinting that her boyfriend Justin Verlander, pitcher of the Detroit Tigers, already popped the question to her.

It turns out later that the proposal was a fake and that was merely a joke by Kate Upton – a joke that nearly got everyone fooled and had the social media abuzz with her supposed engagement.
