Kanye West, the American rapper who is also more popularly known as the husband of reality star Kim Kardashian, is releasing a new album soon.
While there have been rumors of late that the follow-up to his “Yeezus” album released in 2013 has been discontinued, the speculations were immediately debunked, notes KpopStarz.
There were reports that Kanye’s next album will have an official title of “Swish” and will be released very soon as possibly a surprise record. But since many already know that the album is coming out, it shall no longer be a surprise release.
According to the London Evening Standard, “Swish” has to be imminent because Kanye West has been working on it for a long time. Apparently, the rapper started working on it immediately after the release of his debut album “Yeezus” two years ago.
The surprise is actually not the album but why it has not come out yet as of this time. Many even believe that it was coming earlier this year. But instead, the New Year brought out the collaboration between Kanye, the legendary Paul McCartney, and Rihanna, on the song “FourFiveSeconds.”
The album is ready
In a recent interview, Canadian actor and comedian Seth Rogen also disclosed that Kanye West has already rapped the entire “Swish” album to him in the back of a limousine way back in December last year.
West also confirmed that the album’s opening track is titled “Wolves” featuring Sia, which the rapper also debuted at his Adidas fashion launch in February and performed at “Saturday Night Live.”
Words have it that the album could also be released exclusively on iTunes and there is a good chance that it could be given out free to fans and iTunes users.
Accordingly, Apple and Kanye will be joining forces and use the rapper’s new album in launching the company’s new music streaming service.
Reports also say that Kanye has agreed with the deal because it would also serve as his gift to the fans. More than being a gift, however, it is also rumored that Apple paid him almost double than the amount he expected to get from the sales of his second album.
Collaboration galore
Since the start of the year, Kanye West has been talking about collaborating with practically any other music artist who is willing.
During the Grammy Awards, apart from reconciling with Taylor Swift and putting behind his infamous stage invasion of the pop princess at the MTV Awards back in 2009, Kanye West and the “Blank Space” singer had talked about the possibility of working together on a new music.
It seems like Kanye West is now working with Diddy on his third album as the Bad Boy Records CEO is reportedly producing Kanye’s new album.
It is not clear however if Diddy is also involved in the second album but the Bad Boy Records boss confirmed that he and Kanye are definitely working together, saying that they intend to produce a lot of records together while having lots of fun.
Another surprise collaboration that Kanye West is working on is with Grammy big winner Beck. Kanye nearly made a repeat performance of his infamous stage invasion on Taylor Swift during the 57th Annual Grammy Awards on February 8 when he nearly cut short Beck’s acceptance speech for the Album of the Year award.
But when he got to his senses a few weeks later, Kanye publicly apologized to Beck. Kanye took to Twitter to express his apology and regret for his uncalled for remarks against Beck. He said that he is extending his public apology to Beck and specifically said “I’m sorry Beck” in his tweet.
