Kairi To Be A Playable Character In Kingdom Hearts 3, Game Likely To Be Delayed Further, Fans Not Pleased With The News

The players had sent a petition to Square Enix to make Kairi a playable character in Kingdom Hearts 3. Tetsuya Nomura hinted that the upcoming installment might see Kairi as a playable character along with Xehanort and Eraqus.

Square Enix and game director, Nomura, haven’t been forthcoming about sharing information on Kingdom Hearts 3. Their primary focus is on Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue. The game is going to release in December. Fans hope that Square Enix will focus on Kingdom Hearts 3 after the completion of Kingdom Hearts 2.8.

University Herald reported Kingdom Hearts 2.8’s postponement to January. The game will release on 12th January in Japan and on 28th January for the rest of the world. The reason for the delay is believed to be Square Enix’s preoccupation with Final Fantasy XV.

The fans were shocked when Tetsuya Nomura tweeted about Final Fantasy XV’s delay. The game was scheduled to release on 29th November. Square Enix hasn’t shared the changed date with the public.

The delay in the two games indicates a further delay for Kingdom Hearts 3. This news has only contributed towards making the fans upset.
