Either Justin Bieber is telling the truth or he is getting jealous that former girlfriend Selena Gomez is being linked to another music artist as of late.
There are rumors going around that sparks are said to be flying between Selena Gomez and Canadian singer The Weeknd, who were reportedly seen dating and kissing in a restaurant. The rumors are making Justin Bieber uncomfortable apparently.
It appears that Selena Gomez is indeed moving on from the thing that caused her three-month stay in a rehabilitation facility, her relationship with Justin Bieber even though they are no longer a couple since late in 2014.
A few months ago, the “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” songstress was in bad shape emotionally and was confirmed to be going through a lot of emotional pain so she decided to take a break from her career. She was also advised from exuding negativity by focusing only on the positives around her.
So when she got out of rehab, Gomez has been firm on her goal to stay away from her ex-boyfriend who had dated several women after they parted ways including Sofia Richie, Kourtney Kardashian, Nicola Peltz, Hailey Baldwin, and Sahara Ray.
So when reports came out that the “Hands to Myself” singer was seen getting intimate to the “Starboy” singer, The Weeknd.
But Justin Bieber appears to downplay the rumors linking Selena Gomez and The Weeknd by claiming that it was merely a publicity stunt.
However, some critics note that Justin Bieber appears to be bothered by the rumors even though he and Selena Gomez are no longer a couple, in much the same way as Selena appeared to be bothered by the Biebs erstwhile relationship with Sofia Richie.
In a recent report, Bieber said he doubts the supposed relationship of Selena and The Weeknd’s and really thinks that Gomez is only using the R&B singer for a publicity stunt to promote her upcoming collaboration with him.
Bieber even compared it to other musicians like Zedd and Nick Jonas whom Gomez also had music collaborations in the past. Both were also rumored to be dating Selena but after their collaborations, the rumored romance also fizzled out.
This news about the romantic relationship between Selena Gomez and The Weeknd started circling over the internet as the two were caught in photos getting romantically cozy with each other in an exquisite restaurant. They were also photographed kissing each other.
It was during a recent party where Justin Bieber was asked by the press on what he thinks about the new guy in Selena Gomez’s life and he commented matter-of-factly. He was having a party with Patrick Schwarzenegger and it is not clear if he already had too much to drink when he made the comment about Selena and The Weeknd to the press.
When he was pressed for answers, he just walked straight to his car and intentionally avoid saying anything further.
Some fans and critics assume that the “Sorry” singer is greatly affected by Selena Gomez to move on from him for good.
Apart from that, Bieber was also allegedly phoned by Selena’s mother, Mandy Teefy telling him to avoid her daughter because he is the real bad influence on her daughter and caused her too much anxiety and depression.
Reports have it that the exact message received by the “Love Yourself” singer was ‘Leave her alone,’ which sounded as a stern warning to stay away from Selena.
Teefy reportedly wants to make sure that Bieber is no longer getting in touch with her 24-year-old daughter by personally telling the “Purpose” singer not to call, text, email, or even chat Gomez anymore.
