The show must go on regardless of how the artist feels physically or emotionally. That seems to have been the mantra of 21-year-old pop singer Justin Bieber in one of his recent shows when he got thrown off before his stage performance following a heated text exchange with a former girlfriend.
While the “What Do You Mean” singer did not reveal the identity of his ex-girlfriend during the interview with Ryan Seacrest on the latter’s radio show on August 28, many believe that Bieber is likely referring to Selena Gomez. Admittedly, Justin has had plenty of girlfriends in the past but none of them was as high profile as his relationship with the 22-year-old Selena Gomez.
Bieber would not be talking about an ex-girlfriend on a radio interview if listeners would not have an inkling at all of whom he is referring to. That’s in addition to the fact that his “What Do You Mean” single is actually considered by many as his diss song against Selena Gomez whom he claims as being flip-floppy.
If he was promoting a diss song against Selena on the radio, then it only follows that the person whom he alluded to during the interview with Ryan Seacrest is “The Heart Wants What it Wants” singer.
A heated text exchange
Without really being asked by Ryan Seacrest, Justin revealed to the host that he got thrown off once before one of his shows when an ex-girlfriend texted him something nasty, details Hollywood Life.
Justin made the disclosure when he was asked by Ryan what are his pre-show rituals. That’s when he mentioned that one particular instance. He added that he had a few heated exchanges with a former lover before hitting the stage and perform in front of thousands of people.
He said it really threw him off but recovered just in time to perform as himself before the audience so his emotional dilemma was hardly noticed at all.
The “Baby” singer also mentioned that he even had an ex-girlfriend again screaming at him before he got on stage for another performance. Just like the first disclosure, he did not reveal whom he was referring to but many are again one with the belief that it is Selena Gomez.
While the two seems to be civil at each other in public, reports are saying that they have been working to take an indirect swipe against each other with Justin Bieber drawing first blood with his “What Do You Mean” single.
Plans to return the favor
According to rumors, Selena Gomez has already asked her ultimate BFF Taylor Swift to help her write a diss song to return the favor against Justin Bieber.
As Justin appears to have made the last say on their supposed public saber-rattling, Selena will not be going quietly into the night.
Although her career seems to be on the fast lane right now compared to that of Justin’s because of her two hit singles this year titled “I Want You to Know,” and “Good for You,” she is also set to launch her latest album called “Revival” on October 3.
Her mentorship stint in the upcoming Season 9 of “The Voice” will help her promote her new album. She is also rumored to have a gig on Broadway, which shall really make her a true force to reckon with.
Now, reports are coming out that Selena is now working with best friend Taylor Swift in writing a song that is meant to retaliate and diss back Justin. And if the song is finished by September or October, there is a possibility that Selena might sing it live on “The Voice,” according to sources close to the songstress.
