Justice League Reworked to Make the Superheroes More Appealing, Cast Members Join Environmental Cause

There’s a lot of hope riding on Justice League. The fans were thoroughly disappointed with Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Amy Adam spoke about Justice League at the ongoing Toronto Film Festival and informed the fans that the film is shaping up to be entirely different from Dawn of Justice.

Zack Snyder faced attacks from the critics and the fans for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The producers for Justice League took heed of the issues that were brought to the forefront. Ben Affleck has been made the executive producer for the upcoming film.

Affleck is going to spearhead the changes that Warner Bros. has planned for Justice League. Warner Bros. is going to leave no stones unturned to make sure that they do not face the same fate with Justice League. Affleck is a renowned producer and actor, and he is expected to take correct creative decisions for the film.

Warner Bros. was scheduled to release two of the most anticipated films of 2016 – Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad; and both of them failed to deliver. In such a situation, Warner Bros. has decided to rework their plans for the cinematic universe of DC Comics.

According to the World Street Journal, Warner Bros. has conceded that the movies that they had released had fallen short of the expectation, and hence they are going to go all out to make Justice League successful. Justice League is scheduled to release in 2017, and it is set to make up for the disappointment caused by Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.

In their plans to rework Justice League, Warner Bros. has given Geoff Johns and Jon Berg the responsibility to make the superheroes from DC Comic more inspiring in the large screen. Unlike the Marvel superheroes, who have already made a mark on the cine-goers, the DC heroes being darker and gritty, haven’t been able to connect with the audience at large.

Geoff Johns, known for comic books featuring superheroes, has said that DC Comic heroes might be dark, but they all have a glimmer of hope in them, and that is what keeps them fighting the evil. The fans complained that none of the superheroes from the cinematic universe of DC Comic crack a smile, and this is being rectified in Justice League.

While discussing the plans for Justice League, the Creative Chief Officer, Geoff Johns reported that the film is going to be lighter than Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The story for the upcoming film is going to be accelerated to intensify the hope and optimism.

The trailer for Justice League, which released at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016, hinted at the change in tone. Unlike previous DC Comic films that are dark and ominous, the trailer provides a glimpse of Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) joking with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and The Flash (Ezra Miller).

The fans immediately note how different Batman is in Justice League. He was murderous and sinister in Dawn of Justice, where he ends up murdering Superman. While Justice League is also going to explore the destructive behavior of Batman, the film has its share of light moments to appeal to the audience.

While attempting to make the superheroes and plot more appealing to the fans, the creative team is cautious enough to remain faithful to the original plot and story. The right balance of the two is going to determine the future of DC Extended Universe.
