Few games on the market have such a special place in the hearts of gamers like the “Just Cause” franchise, and for many, it’s a special kind if pleasure to indulge in the unique world depicted in each installment. With so much to see and do – not to mention blow up – the game can offer hours of entertainment to anyone who loves exciting, explosive action. The third entry in the series has been out for a while, and so far everyone who has tried it seems to love it, but some players have already been asking around for a potential sequel.
And while it may be a little too early to talk about that right now, a DLC release definitely wouldn’t hurt and it could expand the game in various meaningful ways. There are talks about what the first round of DLC could do, and we already know some details too, but of course most concrete information will only come out with the DLC itself.
According to reports, the DLC will have a very specific theme to it, and it will focus on expanding the game on three fronts – land, air and sea. The first DLC release will apparently focus on the air theme, and we will see various additions to this part of the gameplay, including new locations to visit as well as new toys to play around with. And of course, it wouldn’t be a true “Just Cause” game if it didn’t also come with big guns and plenty of targets to test them out on. All in all, it sounds like this round of DLC will bring up the excitement factor quite a lot just by itself, and we can’t imagine what the next packs will involve if this one really is that good.
It’s great to see that the developers of “Just Cause 3” are so determined to realize the huge potential of the game, as it definitely hides a lot under its surface and it’s not just about running around and blowing everything up. The depth and openness of the gameplay have been commended by players a lot, and the new installment in the franchise still manages to do the same thing as its predecessors so well, while at the same time adding new elements to the formula successfully.
Players have also been very active in bringing up suggestions for how the game could be improved, and there are various popular opinions going around right now, including some that discuss more major changes that can be brought to the table. And it does seem like the developers are well aware of those discussions and are keeping an eye on them, as some of the changes that we’ve seen in the series throughout its existence looked like they were directly inspired by community discussions. Then there is the close connection that the developers have to their fans in terms of modding and other community activities, and we have a very well-developed formula.
There are plenty of examples in the history of the franchise, the most notable probably being when the studio decided to turn a community-made multiplayer mod into an official addon for the game that was featured on Steam. This move alone inspired a lot of confidence in fans of the franchise, and it clearly showed that the people behind it are looking out for the opinions of their fans. If something becomes a popular trend in this game’s community, it’s definitely already on the developers’ radar.
