‘Jurassic World’ Portrayed the Completely Wrong Velociraptors, Say Scientists

Nonetheless, Colin Trevorrow, the director of the movie, fired back at the critics stating that the film is a fictional motion picture. Also, based on the storyline of the latest “Jurassic Park” franchise, the dinosaurs were already modified by injecting the DNA of other animals in their genes. As a result, the predators are expected to behave and look differently compared to those scientific findings.

Despite all the criticisms, “Jurassic World” became the first film to reach $500 million worldwide in a single weekend. It also held the record for the fastest movie to reach the $1 billion mark in terms of box office earnings. For the year 2015 alone, the latest “Jurassic” installment is the second highest-grossing film while it ranked fifth for highest-grossing movie of all time, according to Box Office Mojo.

The setting of “Jurassic World” is at Isla Nublar, the fictional island that was also used in the first installment of the movie. In the latest installment of the franchise, a theme park featuring different dinosaurs is now being operated for 10 years. However, things turned bad when the Indominus Rex, a genetically modified dinosaur, went missing and created chaos in the whole island.

“Jurassic World” was released by Universal Pictures on June 12 in North America. The story was based on the events that took place 22 years after what happened in the first “Jurassic Park” film.
