“Jurassic Park” is an iconic name in several genres, including sci-fi, thriller and horror, and the franchise has also managed to go down in the history of filmmaking for its impressive visuals and creative use of special effects. The first films in the series came out at a time when CGI was still a relatively fresh and young concept, and back then, it was noted for how well it managed to blend computer graphics with real-life shots.
And now, as the next installment in the franchise – “Jurassic World” – is approaching, fan excitement has been growing quite steadily. It’s been a long time since we last saw the huge dinosaurs roaming around the screen, and everyone is quite eager to see them yet again. It seems that the producers of the film are putting all the effort they can into it as well, and so far, everything that we’ve heard about the new film has been very positive.
It’s currently set for release on June 12, and will star a variety of popular actors, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Ty Simpkins and more. Its production has been quite the bumpy road, as the film was originally set for release in 2005, but then ran into multiple delays and internal problems.
We recently got to see a new trailer for the film, and it seemed to show everything fans have been asking for – thrill, excitement, impressive-looking dinosaurs, and some solid acting. It seems that the special effects will be of top quality in the new film as well, which should come as no surprise to anyone of course, seeing as how this was one of the main selling points of the originals.
There will also be changes in the “cast” of dinosaurs, with some special new additions being thrown into the mix. The most notable of those is the Indominus Rex, a special genetically engineered dinosaur that’s going to bring the horror in the film to a completely new level, with its lightning fast top speed of 30 miles per hour and a titanic roar that will be heard throughout the park.
And while the new dinosaur was created with the purpose of drawing more people to the park, that of course backfired similarly to the way the plot in the original films unfolded, and the Indominus Rex quickly becomes the biggest nightmare of everyone involved. The new film will pay a lot of attention to the new dinosaur, but at the same time, it won’t be the only member of its species that will make an appearance – viewers will reportedly be treated to a good variety of well-designed dinosaurs that will steal their breath.
