The “Jurassic Park” franchise has been considered a breakthrough in the innovation of computer-generated imagery (CGI) and animatronic visual effects. The manner by which Spielberg has materialized those dinosaurs has paved the way for more movies to trek the same path and follow after the technology.
With the film instantly becoming a box-office hit, fans are now awaiting an official announcement from Universal Pictures on the film’s expected sequel with so many theories floating about what will happen in the next movie.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly last month, lead actor Chris Pratt confirms the film will be hitting cinemas again as he signed on for an unidentified number of sequels. In the interview, the 35-year old actor humorously quips that the studio wants him for another 38 films or so.
Whatever the case, the events and plot threads in the fourth installment of the Jurassic franchise sees the potential for a fifth, sixth and probably a seventh film. However, it might take a while for viewers to see humans running for their lives because of dinosaurs again. In May 2015, “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow confirmed he will not be returning to direct the dino-sequel while speculations of a 2018 release date for the next film have also been making rounds on social media.
