‘Jurassic World 2’ to Feature Small-Sized Dinosaurs That Can Be Treated as Pets in Every Household, Latest Absurd Rumors Say!

First were the reports that “Jurassic World 2” shall feature militarized dinosaurs, banking on the premise that Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt, managed to train the velociraptors in the first film.

Subsequently, the rumors started flying that the sequel to the 2015 dinosaur movie shall feature a whole new breed of dinosaur to bring more terror just like the Indominus rex did in the first movie.

The speculations appeared plausible considering that they were based on what transpired during “Jurassic World.”

It can be recalled that Dr. Henry Wu, played by B.D. Wong, was able to escape Isla Nublar, bringing along with him several dinosaur embryos, one of which was used to create the genetically-engineered Indominus rex in “Jurassic World.”

Dr. Wu previously worked with Vic Hoskin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, to create a new breed of dinosaurs for possible used by the military. This particular plotline is being rumored to become a springboard for the storyline of “Jurassic World 2.”

Turning the tables on the humans

According to the same set of rumors, Dr. Wu and Hoskin were actually planning to create armored dinosaurs that will protect people and fight crimes in the upcoming sequel, reports Game & Guide.

So people would reportedly not be fearing the elite group of dinosaurs because they are meant to protect mankind. However, just like what happened on “Jurassic World,” an incident will turn everything around and the dinosaur will turn the tables on humans.

However, it could be recalled also that in the first movie, Dr. Wu had bad intentions for the dinosaur embryos which makes this particular set of rumors suspect.

It also does not help the cause of the rumor toward accuracy when it was also reported that Dr. Wu and his team shall be making domesticated dinosaurs too by creating small-sized creatures that can be treated as pets in every household.

Towards that point of the rumors, it seems obvious that it has become absurd, if not downright untrue.

But then, everything remains as speculations pending the confirmation from the producers, the director, or even the cast members of “Jurassic World 2.” The movie is slated to hit theaters on June 22, 2018 yet so it seems that nothing is set in stone at the moment.

Confirmed to return

While the plotline of “Jurassic World 2” remains a mystery, what seems clear is that two cast members are already confirmed to return who are none other than Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays park manager Claire Dearing, reports the Cheat Sheet.

And instead of Colin Trevorrow, “Jurassic World 2” will be helmed by Juan Antonio Bayona who previously directed “The Orphanage” in 2008, “The Impossible” in 2013, and the fantasy drama “A Monster Calls” starring Felicity Jones and Liam Neeson, which will be hitting theaters next month.

“Jurassic World 2” shall also be part of a trilogy based on the previous confirmation of Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley in 2015 that “Jurassic World” would start a trilogy.

Langley said back then that Colin Trevorrow was busy working on an outline with Steven Spielberg and they already had an idea for the next two movies.

Reports also have it that filming for “Jurassic World 2” shall begin early next year in Hawaii although the majority of the shooting will also take place at London’s Pinewood Studios.

Pre-production has already started for “Jurassic World 2” and the first order for the crew was to look for a possible setting in Hawaii again for the movie.

Isla Nublar in “Jurassic World” was filmed in Hawaii, and so was the first movie, “Jurassic Park,” back in 1993.

According to production insiders, “Jurassic World 2” shall have a working title of “Ancient Futures,” which is an obvious oxymoron.

The same sources are also saying that filming for the movie shall commence on February 27, 2017, which would give the production to finish everything and plenty of time to spare for the marketing and promotions before its official release date to theaters in June 2018.
