‘Jurassic Park’ Screenwriter Says ‘Jurassic World’ Screenplay is Terrific!

Although he is not involved in the fourth installment of the “Jurassic Park” movie series, screenwriter David Koepp says the screenplay of the upcoming film “Jurassic World” is terrific.

David Koepp wrote the screenplay for the first movie in the series simply titled “Jurassic Park” that was shown in 1993 and turned out to be a blockbuster hit that was figuratively as big as the tyrannosaurus rex (T-Rex) that was featured prominently in the film.

“Jurassic World” will hit theaters on June 12, 2015 and with the current fan reception on its official trailer and teasers, it looks like the movie will be a smashing success as well.

Koepp, who directed the film “Mortdecai” currently showing in UK cinemas, disclosed that he saw and read a couple of drafts of the scripts of “Jurassic World” and he thought that the screenplay was terrific, reports Radio Times.

He said the movie is going to be great and just like many fans of the series, he also can’t wait to see the film on theaters in June this year.

Building up the excitement

Following the release of its first official trailer in the first week of December, Universal Pictures has also released the movie poster of “Jurassic World” on theaters which put fans in a guessing game about what to expect in the film.

The teaser was a one-sheet “Jurassic World” poster circulated in theaters worldwide to drumbeat the upcoming movie showing less than five months from now.

But the poster actually offers nothing much since it is basically the original logo of the first three movies and the only thing new is the current titleof “Jurassic World.”

It was the second movie poster for the film. The first one was released on October 14 by director Colin Trevorrow, which only hinted of ominous things with words “The Park is Open.”

Non-serialized storyline

The film is about the corporate desire of an already functioning dinosaur theme park called “Jurassic World” to entice more visitors that went horribly haywire. By haywire, it most likely mean a T-Rex just like in previous Jurassic Park movies.

The park is situated in Isla Nublar, the same site of the original Jurassic Park put up by John Hammond 22 years ago.

A collaboration between Legendary Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, Chris Pratt topbills the film as Owen, Bryce Dallas Howard as Beth, Ty Simpkins as Gray, along with Judy Greer, Nick Robinson and David Oyelowo.

Trevorrow helms from the screenplay written by himself along with best-selling author Michael Crichton and three others.

jurassic world

The “Jurassic Park” franchise is based on Crichton’s series of novels about the a revolutionary gene technology breathing new life to pre-historic dinosaurs, which history indicates, have never mingled with humans.

David Koepp said that what’s good about “Jurassic Park” movies is that it’s not a serialized adventure. No character is being followed if he or she goes off to another place. So every film is like starting from the beginning all over again. He also said that the people behind “Jurassic World” made the movie, which made him really believe in the film and that shows how good the film is.
