He was taken in by the New York Knicks during the 2011-12 NBA season. When Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony was injured, coach Mike D’Antoni tapped him and he played splendidly for the next 17 games that had the New York Knicks crowd ecstatic and proclaiming him as the team’s new messiah, thus earning him the moniker Linsanity.
But the Knicks did not re-sign him the following season and Lin was taken in by the Houston Rockets on a three-year $25 million contract. Unfortunately, Lin did not prosper nor blossom under Kevin McHale and the Houston Rockets and was thus dealt to the Lakers on the third year of his contract. His stint with the Lakers and Kobe Bryant was, as everyone knows already, history.
Now, Jeremy Lin is looking for a team that he can finally call his home. And it looks like the Denver Nuggets would be his next stop in his colorful NBA journey. Whether it would be the last stop or simply the next stop, would be up to his gameplay and how he shows his true potential as a basketball player.
