One question that has been poking and prodding the “peace of mind” of Brooklyn fans and more importantly, Jeremy Lin’s fans, is when he will recover from his hamstring injury. Unfortunately, there isn’t any specific date or answer to that question; no one can tell for sure when Jeremy Lin will return to the court.
Jeremy Lin has been out of the game since he injured his hamstring in a game on the 2nd of November. The Brooklyn Nets had said that Jeremy Lin would be re-evaluated after two weeks. However, in spite of the passing of the said two weeks, there has been no announcement regarding Jeremy Lin’s return date.
More than a month has passed, yet Jeremy Lin’s remained to be included in the time table of the Brooklyn Mets. The latest news regarding Jeremy Lin’s status was heard from Sean Marks, who happens to be the General Manager of the Brooklyn Nets.
Sean Marks sat down recently in an interview with the Nets on YES, answering a variety of questions to analyst Sarah Kustok. The questions included some like what were this seasons disappointment and surprises with the Brooklyn Nets.
There were also questions relating to Jeremy Lin’s status and his injury, along with some other questions that came from the Season ticket holders of The Brooklyn Nets. The interview was also featured live on the official Facebook page of the Brooklyn Nets.
It was during this interview that Sean Marks stated the Jeremy Lin seems to be progressing well and according to him, will be back pretty soon. He further added that he didn’t want to forecast a timetable for Jeremy’s return because they do not want him to come back in a hurry without recovering properly first.
He informed the fans that Jeremy is progressing well and is still at practice in the locker room and that he has been from day one. The General Manager of the Brooklyn Nets confirmed that they have been in touch, and he has advised Jeremy Lin to take his own time to recover.
He also suggested Lin not to bother with proving the people wrong by making an appearance earlier than expected. He will soon make an entry, though, he alluded.
Ever since incurring his injury, Jeremy Lin has been forced to miss out on the last 15 games. Since Jeremy Lin went out, the Brooklyn Nets are 3-12. At the beginning of the season, the Brooklyn Nets showed some great potential. Even though their record at the start of the season was 2-3, Jeremy played rather well.
Fans were expecting to see something good come out of the team this season; however, ever since Jeremy injuring his hamstring, things have been going downhill for the Brooklyn Nets. As of now, they are presently at 5-15, and at the lowest of the standings for the second straight season.
This unfortunate and sudden injury that Jeremy Lin has suffered on his hamstring have put on hold the success of the Brooklyn Nets combined with catalyst effect of Jeremy Lin. This was supposed to be a redefining year for the team, however, with Lin out of action just after five games, the Nets with 5-15, are uncertain about their future.
Not unexpectedly, Lin’s return date remains a mystery. Hurting the hamstring is one of the sport’s nastiest of injuries, and hastily returning to the court can take a heavy toll on a player’s career. Those who are trying to find silver linings can acknowledge that before Lin was struck by this unfortunate accident, his scoring average was already the highest of any time in his career.
