Jeremy Lin has been taking a relatively dynamic approach to his career, and he’s been moving around quite a bit, trying to find out what works best for him. In the end, there is still a lot for him to do with this sport, and he’s obviously not realized his full potential yet. And sadly, his performance with the Los Angeles Lakers was less than ideal, according to many. He wasn’t even given much of a chance to prove himself with the team in the first place, and many of his fans were disappointed with the way his membership in that team went through.
Now he’s moved on to the Charlotte Hornets, and many experts are predicting that this will be a much better opportunity for the player, and something that should definitely help him realize his potential a bit better than his part in the Lakers. There are several points that have been named as the main criteria for his strong potential, but many seem to generally see him as a good fit for the team and believe that he will have a good chemistry with the rest of the players.
According to reports, Jeremy Lin has been very excited to be a part of the Charlotte Hornets, even though this meant that he had to take a pay cut as his new team isn’t quite as accommodating as the LA Lakers. This was obvious from the beginning, and many fans were wondering if it would be a deal breaker for Jeremy Lin or if the player would be able to overcome the situation and wouldn’t mind the pay cut too much.
In the end, he obviously doesn’t seem to mind it very strongly, but at the same time we don’t know if this is a long-term plan for him or if he’s constantly eyeing other opportunities for advancing his career. It’s pretty noticeable that Jeremy Lin is willing to go to some great lengths in order to boost his career and see some improvement in it, and while he has various opportunities for doing that, sometimes taking a temporary pay cut is not a bad option indeed if it could mean landing better opportunities in the future and becoming better recognized.
He’s not the only one who has to deal with a lower salary for this season either, and other players have apparently been cut down in their pay grades and now have to work with a smaller capital. Of course, for many of them it’s a temporary situation as the field is readjusting, but it’s more difficult to tell for Jeremy Lin.
According to many, the player is still trying to find the ideal spot for himself among all the teams currently active in the sport, and he’s still not quite there yet when it comes to having the ideal team to play on and meshing well with his teammates. Of course, this is pretty standard for someone who hasn’t been active in the sport that long, but he should probably try to settle down at some point soon.
There are various predictions for his performance with the Charlotte Hornets, and some fans of the sport seem to believe that this will be a very good match for him, and he has a strong potential for a lot of success with that team. It remains to be seen how well exactly Jeremy Lin is going to blend with his new teammates, but he definitely does seem to have some potential for good results over there, judging by his past plays.
IF JLin is given a reasonable chance to develop it will be difficult to “move him” as his performance should be good enough to consider keeping him in place of another guard. It will take at least 1/2 a season to see which of the 4 guards work best together. Lin’s line tonight 18:47 min, 4/8 FG, 2/2 from 3, 15pts, $4m. That’s a bargain and can free up money to go after higher profile players than keeping similar guards with much bigger salaries.
