NBC have been promoting the show very actively too, so it does seem like they are planning something particularly good with it, and they aren’t treating it like just another show on their network. Of course, it’s hard to tell before we’ve seen the actual show itself.
Its marketing has been top notch so far, and we’ve seen just the right amount of hype and special materials released by the producers. On the other hand, there have been various rumors allegedly coming from behind the scenes, further adding to the hype and overall interest towards the show.
We don’t know which of those rumors are going to turn out to be true, but there are some interesting possibilities for this show if some of them end up a reality.
For example, we might see a story that ends up portraying characters who are typically bad in a more positive light, changing people’s perception of them and allowing fans to experience a new point of view that they haven’t considered before. Corrupt officers aren’t typically portrayed in a very good way in any show on TV, and it would be interesting to see if the producers of “Shades of Blue” are planning to take on a different approach to that and give viewers something new to think about.
