Fans of the once ultimate power couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are screaming their hearts out after recent reports say that the “Booty” singer offered her shoulder to lean on for the “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” actor following his recent divorce with Jennifer Garner.
Of course, nothing could be more fantastic for the fans if the original Bennifer happens again considering that the two high-profile celebrities are both single again.
After breaking off their engagement in 2004, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Lopez have never been on speaking terms again. A lot has happened since then. JLo got married to Marc Anthony and she bore him twins, Max, and Emme. They eventually separated after seven years of marriage in July 2011. But it was only in June of last year that their divorce became final.
Following the breakup with Marc Anthony, JLo has been romantically linked to several men including Casper Smart and Ryan Guzman, among a few others, but none of those relationships appear to have reached the level of serious.
For his part, Ben Affleck married Jennifer Garner on June 29, 2005, and officially split on June 30, 2015, or exactly one day after their 10th wedding anniversary. They had three children together during their marriage, including Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Reports have it that the breakup was caused by Ben’s unabated gambling habits that prompted Jennifer Garner to give him the ultimatum. And when he still continued, they decided to split for good.
Communicating again
Hollywood Life reported that base on a certain source, Ben and JLo have been talking and texting since he split with Jennifer Garner. Ben felt that he was not allowed to maintain any kind of relationship at all with JLo while he was still married to Jennifer because it would just make his ex-wife jealous and angry.
But when Ben and Jennifer finally split, JLo actually reached out to him just to see how he was holding up. Since then, they have talked quite a number of times and the source said that they have been getting along nicely.
JLo knows what it’s like to go through a divorce when there are young children involved so she tries to make Ben laugh and be very supportive of him in his hour of need.
Ben also appreciates the gesture and support coming from his ex-fiancee and that he also felt grateful for her to come when he’s down and out.
While there have been a lot of time spent after they broke up more than 10 years ago, the original fans of Bennifer remain hopeful that the relationship could be rekindled and with the way things are going between the two stars, it is very possible at this point in time.
Residency in Las Vegas
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old Jennifer Lopez is now preparing for her full-year residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas next year after she signed a contract with the establishment recently.
She recently had her photo shoot for Paper magazine together with 29-year-old designer Olivier Rousteing, who is the creative director of Balmain, one of the most talked-about and tweeted-about luxury brands in the world.
During the shoot, JLo came out wearing a fringed Balmain gown and captioned it as ‘fringe benefits’ making those present in the shoot, including Rousteing swoon at the triple-threat celebrity.
When asked what does luxury means to her, Jennifer said that those are the stuff that is very custom or made or fitted especially for a person. And that’s what she likes about her clothes and how she should feel with them on. She says that same goes for a house or a car or any luxury item, it has to have something feel special that feels like her.
But JLo later on said that everyone has their own definition of luxury. For her, sometimes it means the quiet moments away from the business of her life when she gets to spend time with her children and her family. She also agrees with Olivier Rousteing that freedom of choice is also true luxury and she is just happy that she has it.
I’m sure she lent more than her shoulder.
This doesn’t surprise me AT ALL. I bet JHoe was praying for this to happen, she never stop talking about Ben and how crushed she was when he dumped her. She has been after Ben’s bones non stop for years, the Casper bs is just a facade. She won’t gave up until she gets paparazzi pics of Ben and her out there. Not only she has the hots for him she wants to be redeemed from him dumping her.
Yes, it is obvious that Jennifer Lopez never really got over him. I think Ben still has a thing for her as well because, why else would he keep in contact with her over the years. He could’ve kicked her to the curb!! I don’t think his family or some of his friends approved of their relationship. They seemed genuinely happy. I think Ben’s the one with the problem! He’s a gambling addict, alcoholic and cheater! Jennifer Garner knew this when she got pregnant,then married him! Both Jennifer deserve much better, I honestly don’t know what they see in that man!
