Triple threat celebrity Jennifer Lopez has gotten a black eye while filming Season 2 of the American crime drama TV series “Shades of Blue” on NBC.
And it has nothing to do with somebody hitting her in the eye and giving her that shiner because apparently, it was caused by an accident.
On November 30, J-Lo posted on her Instagram account a close-up photo of her face complete with her black eye and no make-up. She captioned her image post by saying that sometimes work can be rough, adding ‘lol’ to indicate that she just took it in stride because she was having fun doing what she does.
Jennifer Lopez also added a string of hashtags on her image post including #sufferforyourart and #youshouldseetheotherguy, before admitting she was just kidding as nobody hit her during the shoot.
Real-life drama hounds the show
She revealed later how she sustained the injury but it was not the first real-life drama to take place during the filming of “Shades of Blue” Season 2, reports Yahoo! Lifestyle.
Sometime in October, police were called to the location shoot in Brooklyn, New York to investigate reports of gunshots fired by a group of men who had allegedly invaded the set and chased production staff around.
J-Lo had already left for the day when the incident occurred, but recurring guest star Kathryn Kates was reportedly still on set at the time and took cover in her trailer.
Authorities quickly took control of the situation. No one was injured, but some cast and crew members were said to have been shaken up by the incident.
The former “American Idol” judge plays tough New York Police Department detective Harlee Santos in “Shades of Blue,” which follows her character’s struggles to balance work and life as a single mother, while also being forced to work with the FBI’s anti-corruption task force to out her own corrupt colleagues in the department.
The feeling is still there
Incidentally, Jennifer Lopez and her former husband Marc Anthony were in attendance during the Latin Grammy Awards held on November 17, reports Us Weekly.
When Marc Anthony kissed his ex-wife, he admitted later that the sign of affection he showed to J-Lo may not just be platonic.
A source disclosed that the Latin singer revealed that he is still in love with the 47-year-old “Booty” singer and that he is trying to get back together with her.
Marc Anthony and J-Lo split in July 2011 after seven years of marriage and both are currently single. The 48-year-old Marc Anthony just separated from his third wife, Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima, while J-Lo just ended her four-year relationship with choreographer Beau ‘Casper’ Smart.
The same source is saying that it may be the music that is bringing them back together since Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are currently collaborating on Lopez’s still untitled Spanish-language album, which is being produced by Marc Anthony.
The source added that the pair, who are parents to eight-year-old twins Max and Emme, have magic when they sing together, which was the reason why they married the first time around. The two has such a wonderful chemistry working on music together.
During the Latin Grammy Awards, the former spouses sang a Spanish duet of “Olvídame y Pega la Vuelta,” which will be on their upcoming album. After their performance, the star of the Las Vegas residency entitled “All I Have,” presented Anthony with the Person of the Year award.
As the crowd chanted “beso,” which means kiss in Spanish, they locked lips. In her speech, Lopez said that her former husband is a living legend. She described him as a magical and pure artist giving away classics that will stay forever, adding that Marc Anthony will always be many things in her life.
Meanwhile, the word is now officially out that the reason why Jennifer Lopez and her younger boyfriend Casper Smart broke up last August is because the triple threat celebrity has caught his former beau red-handed again in cheating with another woman.
Immediately after they split in August, the reports that started coming out was that the 47-year-old Jennifer Lopez got pissed off with her 29-year-old former flame after he failed to accompany her in the Hamptons.
