Sometime in October, police were called to the location shoot in Brooklyn, New York to investigate reports of gunshots fired by a group of men who had allegedly invaded the set and chased production staff around.

J-Lo had already left for the day when the incident occurred, but recurring guest star Kathryn Kates was reportedly still on set at the time and took cover in her trailer.

Authorities quickly took control of the situation. No one was injured, but some cast and crew members were said to have been shaken up by the incident.

The former “American Idol” judge plays tough New York Police Department detective Harlee Santos in “Shades of Blue,” which follows her character’s struggles to balance work and life as a single mother, while also being forced to work with the FBI’s anti-corruption task force to out her own corrupt colleagues in the department.
