Though she is not the type who likes to talk about her political views, Jennifer Lopez showed up in the fundraiser event for presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on June 20 that also give everyone an idea about who she will be rooting for in the US presidential elections in November.
J-Lo was among the many A-listers who attended the fundraiser held at the New York City home of Harvey Weinstein, a known entertainment heavyweight, notes People.
Among the stars who were spotted on Monday included Leonardo DiCaprio, Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick, Martha Stewart, Bethenny Frankel, Candice Bergen, and celebrity fashion designer Vera Wang.
The “Booty” singer has not said anything about endorsing Hillary Clinton but she included one of Clinton’s speeches in the music video of her latest single “Ain’t Your Mama.”
The other celebrities, on the other hand, have openly expressed their support to Hillary’s presidential hopes and none could be more vocal than Sarah Jessica Parker who was very supportive of the aspirations of the former US Secretary of State.
Hillary Clinton has defeated Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont to become the presumptive Democratic nominee and she is likely to face Republican candidate Donald Trump in the general election.
Reports have it that Clinton will be deciding on her running mate before the Democratic National Convention is held in Philadelphia on July 27.
Not too confident with her body
Despite being regarded as the sexiest triple-threat celebrity in Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez says that there was a time that she did not always feel confident in her body.
In a recent interview, J-Lo said that she came to a point when she was actually bothered by how she looked because she keeps on comparing herself to others.
She said that she remembered thinking that she was not thin enough because she had curves, notes ET Online.
Nowadays, the “Booty” singer says she feels great about her voluptuous figure, adding that being healthy and feeling great are not about having one specific body type but it’s a completely individual thing.
The 46-year-old versatile performer says that feeling beautiful is an attitude and everyone should all look for the beautiful things that they love about themselves and not overly compare their bodies to others.
Giving her all to kick off her Vegas residency
When Jennifer Lopez said that she will give her all during her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood at the start of the year, she was not hyping the obvious. Neither was she bluffing or making a tall tale. Apparently, it was a promise and during her debut performance at the Axis Theater at Planet Hollywood late in January this year, J-Lo delivered on her promise, big time.
Jennifer Lopez announced to the sold-out crowd at the Las Vegas venue that there is a new girl in town and she really brought the house down with her dazzling two-hour performance.
Given how she delivered superb entertainment in her Las Vegas debut, it seems like the statement or announcement from Lopez was more like a warning to other pop divas that have mounted or are planning to mount high-profile shows on the Strip.
Aptly-titled “All I Have,” which was named after her hit duet with LL Cool J, J-Lo delivered awe-inspiring production numbers that had the crowd mesmerized and officially making her as the it-girl among the city’s marquee performers including the likes of Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Britney Spears, all of whom she was sharing a venue with.
J-Lo’s debut performance in Las Vegas has successfully set a new gold standard for pop star showcases on the Strip, which was also a tribute to the husband-and-wife team of Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo a.k.a. NappyTabs, who directed the show.
