When Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt got married, this was met with a lot of positivity from their fans, as they were seen as a very fitting couple. However, things were apparently not so bright behind the scenes, as the two eventually had to file for a divorce, and went through a somewhat lengthy separation process. In the end, they have both moved on with their lives, especially Brad Pitt who’s already getting very involved with Angelina Jolie.
Many seemed to believe that Jennifer Aniston was affected negatively by the whole ordeal, however that doesn’t seem to be the case, according to a recent revelation by the actress. She stated that the divorce, while painful due to its basic nature, wasn’t actually that harsh on her, and she was able to recover from the situation relatively quickly.
She went on to explain that the whole reason people have been referring to her divorce as “painful” has been the media – most publications who talked about the event in the past used to describe it in similar ways. According to Aniston, this was done with the obvious purpose of attracting readers, but didn’t have any actual foundation in reality. Still, she has accepted the fact that this narrative is going to follow her around for a while in her life, but she seems to be more or less fine with that fact.
The actress was asked by a journalist if she maintains contact with Brad Pitt, to which she responded with a similar question of her own, asking him if he still talks to his ex-wife. From the interview, it could be gathered that any relationship between Aniston and Brad Pitt at this point is purely “technical”, boiling down to any duties the two might have towards each other. It seems that the two don’t hold any resentment towards each other though, as usually happens after a bitter divorce, and they have accepted the fact that they each need a different person by their side, and have moved on with their lives accordingly.
Aniston seems to be doing very well with her life and career ever since her divorce in any case, as she has recently delivered some very noteworthy performances, and her career has been on a sharp incline over the last few months. Some have even speculated that her divorce has been a motivating factor in her life, although Aniston herself has never made any comments that could indicate that. Still, it’s definitely noticeable that she has made significant progress starting roughly around the time that she separated with Brad Pitt, so there might be some truth to that in the end.
