Jeep Renegade Makes Adventure Sound Easy!

Jeep has been around for many years and has garnered quite a following in terms of loyal consumers that await to see what the new models will bring in the spring. Most of the Jeep models inspire adventure in those that drive them and for the 2015 line of Jeep Renegade, that is going to be the same story. The Jeep Renegade really takes parts from the Cherokee days, adds some from the old school Wrangler days and a touch of the more modern Liberty and crams it into one vehicle.

If you know a Jeep when you see one, then you know they are chunky by design, rugged and ready for just about anything that you throw at it. The 2015 Jeep Renegade offers plenty of features, but sticks to the adventurous roots. One of the more modern features is the removable top. Jeep Wrangler had this mastered for years, but now you have the option of one you can remove manually, or a power assisted option that is much cooler.

Both tops are embossed with the “Renegade X” that you are going to see throughout the entire vehicle. When either of the top options are removed, the feeling is of a open air concept, but you still get the feeling of safety with the structure around you. If you are looking for something that can get you further off road, then the Trailhawk would be the upgrade you are looking for.

The Trailhawk is lifted a little higher, has modified bumpers and improved wheel articulation. Jeep’s Trail Rated badge goes to the Trailhawk easily. The interior is very flexible so a weekend with the family feels the same as when you are hauling gear all over the place. The standard seating is for five people and that is pretty good considering the size of the Jeep Renegade, overall. Storage can be increased with a removable cargo floor and when the rear and passenger seats folded flat.

Bringing some technology into the mix, the Jeep Renegade comes with a 6.5-inch LCD touch screen console that is partnered up with a 7-inch LCD gauge cluster, giving you plenty of power and information about your drive. You can get two different power options with the lower option being 160HP, while the upgraded model is going to come with a turbo boosted 184HP, plus a 6-speed manual transmission. Four wheel drive will get you around as a standard option, plus you benefit from the number of safety features including forward collision warning, lane departure warning and a backup camera to keep an eye on things behind you.
