There are many faces of Jared Leto and that is because he is 43 years old now and has been in the acting, singing, directing and songwriter business for a long time. He made it big back in 1994 with a television show called “My So-Called Life” and was in his first film the next year with “How to Make an American Quilt”. The popular celebrity has also been in movies like Fight Club and American Psycho just to name a couple of the bigger ones.
As you can see, he has quite a long list of accomplishments in the business and that has made him a lot of money. In recent news, he took some of that money that he has and dropped it on a military compound that is nestled in the Hollywood hills, according to reports. Jared Leto is an Oscar winner and now directs under the name Bartholomew Cubbins. Now he can say that he is the owner of a former military compound.
The actor spent more than $5 million for the 1.5-acre property in the Hollywood hills and according to sources, he most likely purchased the property because of the history. The property was built back in 1941 as part of a the Lookout Mountain Air Force Station. The property was actually top secret until the late 1990’s and comes with a bunch of unusual history.
During the second world war, the property was buzzing with more than 250 employees that worked in the screening rooms, soundstages and film processing labs. The home comes with a lot of space, listed at just more than 53,000 square feet and that includes a full military style bomb shelter. It also comes with a perfect courtyard that includes a pool to enjoy the summer months in. Jared Leto will be able to hang his art in one of the four 100 foot long galleries, store up to 15 cars in the underground parking garage and another 70 in the outside car park.
On the inside of the home features 8 bedrooms, low-beamed ceilings and tile floors throughout the entire layout. The star will be able to choose from one of 12 bathrooms and can even take a nice bath in one of the luxury screening rooms. It would be hard to say that Jared Leto really bought the home for the history and not for the completely luxurious feel to the entire property. Jared Leto has not forgotten about acting and was recently confirmed as playing the Joker in the “Suicide Squad” coming out in 2016.
