During a Q&A session for the fans of their band 30 Seconds to Mars, a fan, ironically wearing a Batman shirt, asked Leto what they will be expecting from him in the upcoming superhero film.
The vocalist answered that he’s excited for everyone to set their sights on “Suicide Squad.” He adds that for his bizarre performance as The Joker, he will be locked away in a box, a hint on speculations his The Joker character spends most of the movie locked in a cell in Amanda Waller’s special prison.
This theory aligns pretty well with what the trailer showed, The Joker readying himself to perform shock therapy on the brain of Harleen Quinzel. Probably the reason The Joker spends more time locked up would be the way for Harley Quinn’s backstory.
“Suicide Squad” tells the story of an anti-hero team, also known as Task Force X, grouped together for a mission. The ensemble cast includes Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg.
Model Cara Delevigne joins the cast as Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Scott Eastwood and Ray Olubuwale also appear in the movie, but their characters have not yet been disclosed. Rumors that Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, from “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice,” will make a cameo appearance on “Suicide Squad,” but it has yet to be confirmed.
