A star from the reality show “Dancing with the Stars” is reportedly joining the cast of “Jane the Virgin” for at least one of the upcoming episodes of the show. Derek Hough will be showing off his dance moves as a partner to Jane herself, a revelation which understandably got the show’s fans quite hyped. What’s more, there will apparently be a love story between the two characters, one portrayed in the familiar fantasy style that we’ve seen on “Jane the Virgin” previously.
But those expecting Jane to be overshadowed by Derek Hough, someone whose dancing skills we’re already well familiar with, should probably think twice – according to reports, Gina Rodriguez, the actress portraying Jane on the show, actually has quite a lot of experience with dancing and has some moves to show off too.
We’ve already seen a picture showing the two of them sharing a dance behind the scenes of the production, so it looks like things are coming along nicely, and this could turn out to be an exciting episode in the sense that it will show a new side of Jane.
Meanwhile, Yael Grobglas recently spoke up about her opinion of the current state of the show, and she was quite positive about it as a whole. Even though she has to portray the role of a negative character, she apparently still manages to have a lot of fun with the production and she admits to being quite impressed with the way the show delivers its story to the viewers.
She specifically mentioned the way in which “Jane the Virgin” simply follows the life of its titular character without trying to impose any opinions or views on the people behind the screen, and according to her, it all works out in a magical, beautiful way. Judging by what people have to say about the shoe in general, she’s obviously far from alone in these views as plenty of people have been impressed with the way the production is being handled.
“Jane the Virgin” is still in a relatively young phase, but the show has already managed to find its place and seems to follow a formula that works well. Obviously the producers are still experimenting with their style at this stage and we’re likely going to see more of that in the future as well, but they have managed to preserve the core aspects that originally drew people to the production very well. And those aspects were summarized by Yael Grobglas quite nicely, according to most fans.
As for the show itself, reports indicate that some negative developments are coming up in the lives of its characters, as Jane and Michael will have to delay their wedding due to some unforeseen circumstances. A flooding in the protagonist’s home forces the couple to put everything on hold, but knowing the two characters, we’re confident that they will be able to handle the whole mess in an efficient manner.
It also looks like they will face some potential problems in their relationship with at least one other character – Rafael – as he will not be happy to hear that they are planning to move out of their current home. The decision is not yet final for the couple so things might change in the future, but it definitely looks like things will be on thin ice between them and Rafael for at least some time.
