And while many were expecting Jamie Dornan to encounter issues in his personal life related to the fact that he has to star in the upcoming film, that doesn’t seem to be the case – in fact, according to the actor, his wife has been extremely supportive of his work, and he has had her approval all throughout.

Grey takes Anastasia Steel, a student, on a trip of sexual exploration and self-discovery, in a style that many have described with negativity and disdain. Others have been very supportive of the book, on the other hand, and have been just as excited about the upcoming film as well.
When Dornan was offered the part, his wife was pregnant with their now 14-month-old daughter. He was apparently nervous in approaching her about the proposal, but she has been completely understanding of the situation and has been offering her husband her full moral support in the whole ordeal.
It’s not that strange that Dornan’s wife would understand his situation better than the average person anyway. Apart from being his wife, she has also been an actress for an entire decade, and has a pretty good idea of how the industry works, and how these situations tend to play out for everyone involved. She apparently didn’t even let her pregnancy affect her perception of the situation, and in the end was entirely supportive of her husband’s decision to play in the production.
Dornan seems to still have some reservations towards playing the role of Christian Grey, as the original book managed to build a near cult-like following, to the point where some fans have been posting rather disturbing messages on the Internet regarding Dornan. He probably is right to feel worried about all of this, but in the end, this is part of an actor’s job, and something many celebrities have to live with.
Although it’s also true that his particular role is one that has been receiving a little more attention in a sexual light than the average film actor’s performance, so he may have something to be worried about indeed. However, Dornan seems to be acting very professionally in the end, and has been accepting the situation to the best of his ability.
