Jailbreak iOS 8.0 is an easy and quick process thanks to all the effort put in by Jay ‘Saurik’ Freeman and the team at Pangu. However, the team at Apple is usually waiting for jailbreakers to work their magic so that they can improve on the loopholes in the next update. Hence, what the Pangu team is offering on the iOS 8.0, Apple is taking them away on the latest update – iOS 8.1.
Insider reports claim that the next update is expected anytime within November 12th and 21st. Hence, jailbreakers need to get back in the game and penetrate deeper into the next OS. If you are currently running a jailbroken version of the iOS 8.0, you might want to wait for the experts to jailbreak the upcoming OS before you upgrade. However, this could be a painstakingly slow process, and if you are on a time crunch, you have no other option, but to pay for your activities.
However, Cydia operates smoothly on the iOS 8.1. Hence, we would like to recommend users to get their iDevices upgraded soon. The iOS 8.1 updates brings forth numerous bug fixes and stability enhancements on previously released devices such as the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. However, vulnerabilities are aplenty, and the renowned jailbreakers are expected to come up with their version of the OS shortly after launch.
Apple stopped signing the 8.1.1 beta quite recently, which is unfavorable news for the jailbreakers. The beta version was used by the hackers in the learning process and since they have nothing to study at the moment, the delay in jailbreaking the iOS 8.1 will be greater. Cydia constantly keeps updating their application, to counter each modification brought forward by Apple.
The hackers at Pangu work closely to offer customers easy jailbreak solutions for their devices. The team recently launched a Windows based application that helps jailbreak iOS 8, along with a Mac OS X version too. If you are currently running jailbroken iOS 8.0, it is advisable that you restore to the original version and update to iOS 8.1.
