Chinese action superstar Jackie Chan has nothing but praises to Indian actress Disha Patani who is her leading lady in his upcoming film “Kung Fu Yoga.” Patani is currently filming the international movie in China with Jackie Chan.
The Bollywood actress is building on the praises of the martial arts superstar because it is really something to be proud of for a newbie like herself.
She has just completed filming and is about to appear in her first Hindi movie entitled “Dhoni: The Untold Story,” reports the Times of India.
According to a source close to the Indian actress, Disha Patani has impressed Jackie Chan so much that he actually tells a lot about her to everyone he meets.
The Indian actress is a trained gymnast so she was quite fit with action-packed sequences while shooting the movie “Kung Fu Yoga” in China. Jackie Chan also believes that her acting and action skills will certainly be appreciated in Hollywood too if she is given the chance.
In fact, Jackie Chan has already referred Disha Patani to his agents in Hollywood to find an opportunity for her. Reports also have it that in appreciation of her good skills, Jackie also gifted her a jacket with his name on it.
The jinx continues
Jackie Chan is one of the most successful actors and businessmen from China but since 2014, many are saying that he has been on a jinx because of the number of misfortunes that came his way and continue to come until today.
Back in August 2014, Jackie’s son, Jaycee, was arrested by Beijing police for drug use despite the actor being the official Chinese ambassador to the youth against illegal drug use. Jaycee was eventually sentenced to six months in prison.
Jackie Chan has not had a major box-office in 2014 and also in 2015. This year, he was absent for the first time from the 2016 annual political meeting of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The products that he has been endorsing have also suffered huge losses, scandals, or even closure, details The Epoch Times.
There was also the recent storm caused by the Panama Papers which revealed that big-name celebrities in Hong Kong and Macau, including Jackie Chan, are said to have set-up a number of complex offshore companies.
The leaked list also contains the names of Hong Kong’s richest man, Li Ka-Shing, and Henderson Land chairman Lee Shau Kee.
Keeping silent about the expose
Some of the celebrities or famous Chinese people who have been identified on the list have also admitted to the report. In fact, deputy chairman of the New Democratic Party Michael Tien Puk-sun has apologized for his failure to declare their interests in the offshore investment. But Jackie Chan refuses to say anything about the reports.
Jackie Chan has always been a favorite star of the United Front Work Department of the CCP. However, the Chinese public has been repeatedly outraged by Chan’s speeches flattering the CCP.
The Panama Papers actually exposed the political and business network utilized by the CCP to buy off Chan. The network also includes seven mainland business tycoons operating businesses with Chan, four of whom are renowned billionaires.
As a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference National Committee, Chan also brushes elbows with top government officials and businessmen in mainland China.
Incidentally, Jackie Chan celebrated his 62nd birthday on April 7 and he presented himself at the Shanghai Stock Exchange to attend the ceremony on renaming and restructuring Cultural Investment Holdings Co. Ltd. (CIH).
CIH chairman Qi Jianhong is another super-rich mainlander on the shareholders list of Dragon Stream. He is well-known for his extensive network with Chinese tycoons and also operates the Sparkle Roll Glory Club, which consists of more than 3,000 millionaire and billionaire members.
