Thomas says that once a cure is found, it means that the show will end so it’s safe to say that a cure is not going to show up in the near future. The showrunner adds that Ravi’s attempts will just lead to interesting effects for him and for the fans.
Aly Michalka, who plays Liv’s best friend Peyton, has been promoted to series regular in Season 3, which means that the love triangle between her, Blaine, and Ravi will finally be explored more.
Michalka said that her character cares for Ravi, but at the same time is deeply attracted to Blaine which creates such a huge conflict.
The CW has not yet announced an official premiere date for the newest installment of “iZombie” next year, but filming is underway and the cast have been sharing behind-the-scenes photos in between takes to keep their fans updated.
“iZombie” Season 3 will also have 13 episodes again compared to the 19-episode order it got last season. Thomas explains that this is actually for the betterment of the show.
The executive producer explains that it was difficult to extend the storyline last season when they were given an extra six episodes. He says that the extension came as a surprise which was why they had to stretch some storylines last season.
Thomas adds that just like the first season, they finally have a clearer storyline where the characters will be headed after the upcoming season and what fans can expect.
