With the latest season of The Big Bang Theory, we are gradually experiencing the changes into the series’ fold. Johnny Galecki plays Dr. Leonard Hoftstader in The Big Bang Theory. His last name, Hofstadter is a reference to two eminent scientists. Douglas Hofstadter with his best-selling book “Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid”, won the Pulitzer Prize in 1980 for the general nonfiction. Kunal Nayyar plays the role of Dr. Rajesh “Raj” Koothrappali. There is a connection between Raj’s inabilities to converse with women except when he is drunk. It is a reference to Bill Prady, the executive producer’s old co-worker. However, in the real world, Kunal is far from all that. He got married to Neha Kapur, 2006’s Miss India. On a sadder note, The Big Bang Theory family faced a major heartbreak due to the recent death of Carol Ann Susi. For those who are not aware, she was the one who voiced Mrs. Wolowitz. She was never seen on-screen, but we all heard her thick Brooklyn accent as she kept screaming comically at Howard. A farewell card was shown at the end of an episode. Executive Producer Steve Molaro declared that her loss will surely be dealt with.
