Which, according to the current schedule, should happen in August 2016. We don’t know if the release date has been finalized yet, and there’s certainly a bit of time to go until then, so a lot can happen in the meantime. But we have good reason to believe that the new film will be ready in time, and that we’ll get to watch it in next year’s spring.
The success of this film is actually going to be a very important mark in the DC Comics Universe and its translation to the big screen, as it could open up the doors for many similar films in the future.
This is especially important from Jared Leto’s point of view, who may find himself with various excellent prospects if fans like his performance as the Joker. The actor definitely has what it takes to give fans something enjoyable, he just has to put his skills to good use. So let’s hope that he’s already ahead of us in those thoughts.
