The producers have created Blindspot Season 2 in such a manner that the viewers do not need to watch Season 1 to understand the second season. The upcoming season is going to have its beginning, middle and end and will be a complete series on its own. The viewers need not be aware of the plot of Season 1 to connect the dots in the second season.

Gero said that while Season 2 of Blindspot is going to be more satisfying when watched after the first season, they didn’t create it like a sequel. Gero feels that every season in a series needs to be like a novel in a larger series.
