Iron Man 4 Rumours Hold That Robert Downey Jr. Might Not Play the Part of Iron Man, Character Likely To Be Portrayed By Ty Simpkins!

There have been a lot of rumours doing the rounds about Iron Man 4. There has been no official word from Marvel Studios about the production of Iron 4, but that hasn’t stopped avid fans from making speculations.

Rumours started when Robert Downey Jr., who has played the iconic role of the billionaire Tony Stark in the previous instalments, couldn’t say for sure if he was going to be a part of Iron Man 4. He neither denied nor commented on whether he would be playing the role of Iron Man in Iron Man 4.

Sources have reported that Downey had a three-film contract with Marvel Studio, where he had played the role of Iron Man in three stand-alone films on Iron Man, apart from donning the character for the two Avengers films, “Avengers” and “Age of Ultron”. He is also set to play the role of Stark Enterprise’s CEO Tony Stark in the next Captain America film title Captain America: Civil War.

Speculations now say that Robert Downey Jr. will not play the role of Iron Man in Iron Man 4 as and when it goes into production. In his place, the character is said to be played by the young actor Ty Simpkins, from Iron man 3. He played the role of the boy Harley Keener who helps Tony Stark find information about the film’s villain, The Mandarin.

The story for Iron Man 4 is likely to show that Tony Stark has decided to hang up his Iron Man suit and decided to hand over the legacy to Harley Keener to carry forward.

There has been no official word yet from Marvel Studio, and the news seems likely to be a baseless rumour doing the rounds on the internet. It has now gathered moment after being quoted and talked about by numerous websites. However, with no official words yet, not all the fans are keen on believing whatever they read on the internet.

Iron Man 4 is set to release after the final instalment of the Avengers franchise, which will be called Avengers: Infinity War. This film is expected to come out around 2019. It is only after that will Iron Man 4 be dealt with by the Marvel Studio.

When Gwyneth Paltrow was asked if she is going to be part of Iron Man, she seemed quite keen to reprise her role of Pepper Potts, Iron Man’s love interest. However, said that she isn’t sure if Marvel would take her for the next instalment. They might just go ahead with a younger actress to fill in her role.
