Perhaps the bigger issue would be the age of Robert Downey Jr. by the time he is about to film “Iron Man 4.” At the moment, the actor is 50 years old, and he will be about 54 when cameras start rolling for “Iron Man 4.” Although he is still very capable physically, it’s definitely not as easy for him as a 42-year-old actor when he first donned the iron suit and started filming “Iron Man” back in 2007.
Assuming he agrees to do “Iron Man 4” even at his tender age, what is certain is that the movie will give actor Robert Downey Jr. a windfall yet again.
It is possible that RDJ might get more than $100 million for his portrayal of Tony Stark and Iron Man come “Iron Man 4.” And that assumption actually stands on a good leg because the world’s highest paid actor for three years running was actually paid $80 million for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” shown in May this year.
He is expected to get $40 million for “Captain America: Civil War” when it hits cinemas next year. And these two movies are not even RDJ’s solo movies like the “Iron Man” movie series. Thus it follows, that the actor would likely get no less than $100 million when the time has finally arrived and he already has to do “Iron Man 4.”
