Iron Man 4 Likely to Net More than $80 Million Salary for Robert Downey Jr.

No matter how high Robert Downey Jr.’s asking price is for “Iron Man 4,” Marvel Studios will not have difficulty meeting it considering that his last stand-alone film “Iron Man 3” is the seventh highest-grossing movie of all time with its worldwide box office haul of $1.22 billion. So even if the actor asks for a significant raise on his $50 million salary which he got for “Iron Man 3” and the first “Avengers” film, Marvel is sure to give in.

As Hollywood veteran actor Robert Duvall sees it, Robert Downey Jr. should not give up his Tony Stark role to anybody else when Marvel Studios decides to give the production of “Iron Man 4” a go in the future.

Duvall made the advice to Downey during a recent interview as the two actors were actually co-stars in the movie “Judge.”

But if it is up to Robert Downey Jr., he would sure like to hold on to the Tony Stark and Iron Man roles as those made him the highest paid actor in Hollywood for two years running. However, that decision is not on his hands. He even laughed at the notions that he has the authority to make a decision on it like he was a casting director for Marvel which he is not.

  1. Gosh, I can’t wait for Iron Man 4! I can’t believe Robert Downey jr. is going to be paid more than 80 million dollars to star in Iron Man 4. That’s outrageous. Harley Keener is never going to replace Tony Stark as Iron Man. Tony Stark is the only Iron Man! Robert Downey jr. IS Tony Stark. Robert Downey is probably going to be as rich as his character, Tony Stark, when Iron Man 4 begins or finishes production.

  2. I sure can’t wait to see Iron Man (Robert Downey jr.) face the real Mandarin in Iron Man 4, the final Iron Man movie.
