Could we see the “Iron Man” franchise drifting away from the comic books significantly in the future? That’s entirely possible, and there are certainly some strong implications for this in the current rumors. It’s not like the studios behind the current popular superhero franchises have been sticking to the canon 100% in the past, and various changes to the formula are to be expected.
Sometimes these changes can actually work very much in the favor of the corresponding franchise, pushing it forward in an exciting way, and in fact we’ve already seen that in the past, which is why we expect that there could be some creative changes to the way “Iron Man” is presented in the future.
Currently, fans are speculating a lot over whether someone is going to die in “Civil War” or if the film is going to be a standard telling of the story. Both are equally possible, but we’re mostly leaning towards a possibly more dramatic conclusion to the story. It would be in the style of much that we’ve seen from the franchise so far, and it would also match the current trends in the superhero genre in general. The genre itself has gone through some significant changes and the general attitude from the audiences is quite different today than what it was before, so people expect to see a lot more from a film like this.

We need to see Tony Stark build the Rescue armor for Pepper Potts in Iron Man 4. Pepper Potts needs to become Rescue in the movie. Iron Man and Rescue should team-up and fight and kill ALL of the Ten Rings soldiers in Iron Man 4! Iron Man needs to have a long, epic showdown with the REAL Mandarin in Iron Man 4 after he and Rescue kill the entire Ten Rings organization. Iron Man needs to be the one ending up killing the REAL Mandarin in Iron Man 4. After Iron Man kills the REAL Mandarin, Tony Stark proposes to Pepper Potts and asks her to marry him, and then she accepts his marriage proposal. Tony Stark gets married to Pepper Potts and her new official name is Virginia “Pepper” Stark. Then Tony and Pepper Stark live happily ever after. The end. Iron Man 4 would make a perfect quadrilogy finale to the Iron Man Quadrilogy.
